Jorge Suarez-Velez devient responsable global des activités de gestion de patrimoine en Amérique latine, alors que Carlos J. Peraza devient Directeur financier (CFO).

AMSTERDAM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug.11, 2004--ING Private Banking today announced the expansion of its team with the hire of Jorge Suarez-Velez and Carlos J. Peraza previously with Bank Julius Baer in New York. Jorge Suarez-Velez joins as Global Head of Private Wealth Management for Latin America and Carlos J. Peraza as Chief Investment Officer.
Both will be based in New York
Suarez-Velez will be responsible for ING's existing Latin American private banking activities in Argentina, Venezuela, Chile and Curacao, as well as focusing on developing new private banking business in Brazil and Mexico, leveraging the Group's existing insurance and asset management strength in these countries.
"The Latin American region is a key market for our private banking franchise and these strategic hires will further strengthen our presence," said Philippe Damas, Chairman of Private Banking.

Jorge Suarez-Velez was with Julius Baer in New York for over two years, and he previously presided over Banorte Securities for seven years.
He has 23 years of industry experience, and is an economist from ITAM University in Mexico City.
Carlos J. Peraza has 16 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from ITAM
