(13/05/2004) Dutch hospital decides for Agfa's hospital-wide medical information management solution

Integration of CR with RIS/PACS solution for medical image management Mortsel / Belgium, 13 May, 2004 - Ruwaard van Putten Hospital, Spijkenisse, The Netherlands, has decided to install Agfa's solution for CR and medical image management and to commit to Agfa as its preferred supplier for the implementation of a hospital-wide medical information management solution. The 290-bed hospital in the province of South Holland, The Netherlands, performs some 60,000 radiology examinations per year. The decision to opt for Agfa's CR with integrated RIS and PACS solutions was inspired by Agfa's involvement in the preliminary phase: calculating the cost/benefit analysis, the return on investment and other financial parameters. “From the beginning of the project Agfa was very instrumental in the definition and dimensioning of our solution,' confirms drs. ing. The hospital has confirmed that Agfa, as its preferred supplier for the implementation of this hospital-wide medical information management solution, will be invited to participate in the upcoming Request For Proposal.
